I’m still tired from this past weekend. I spent 48 hours straight with some kids in my clubhouse as we put on the first 1337 Game Camp. (For those of you that aren’t familiar with Leetspeak, that’s pronounced “Elite Gamp Camp”). Two days of nonstop gaming goodness…that’s what we called it when we promoted it around town. This weekend did include playing games, but we also had 3D Modeling competitions, programming environment challenges, and even a rundown of the games that won the recent Dream-Build-Play competition. Add on top of all of that an unbelievable Halo 3 tournament that still has the masses in an uproar…it was an incredible weekend. Oh yeah…did I mention prizes… and food… & one great big giant mess to clean up when it was all over.
Can’t wait to do it again. Yes I can… did I mention I’m exhausted.
Special thanks to Jason Mauer from Microsoft for coming down and bringing some excellent XNA action.
Check out the photos from the weekend.
Also check out the flyer from the event.
